Juicy Oven-Baked Chicken Breast
A simple, foolproof way to bake juicy, flavorful chicken breasts right in the oven—no dryness, just tender meat with a savory crust.
Ingredients
2 largeboneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tbspolive oil
1 tspgarlic powder
1 tsponion powder
1 tsppaprika
½ tspdried oregano
½ tspsalt
½ tspblack pepper
1 tbsplemon juice (optional)
Instructions
1
Turn your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper so the chicken doesn’t stick.
2
Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel, then drizzle them with olive oil and rub it all over so every bit is lightly coated.
3
In a small bowl, stir together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper until evenly mixed.
4
Sprinkle the spice mix over the chicken and work it in with your hands so the whole surface is covered.
5
Put the chicken on the baking sheet and slide it into the oven; bake for 18–22 minutes until the thickest part hits 165°F (75°C) on a meat thermometer.
6
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes off the heat so the juices settle, then slice and serve.
