Cabbage (also other vegetables such as cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, bok choy, collards and kale) is rich in the phytonutrient antioxidant called glucosinolate. The glucosinolates found in cabbage can be converted into isothiocyanate compounds that are cancer preventive for a variety of different cancers.
