bulgogi-rice-bowl
The first time I ever tried Korean BBQ was in AUstin Texas from a food truck. I know, it's the furthest thing from being authentic. But sometimes, any type of introduction is a good one, which for this one, led me to become obsessed with the LA KBBQ scene. This recipe doesn’t really have anything to do with any of that, rather, using KBBQ as an inspiration to take my tastebuds to a place of pure deliciousness. I first made a rice bowl with an incredible cucumber salad, topped with beef bulgogi. Because I made so much, I wanted to make bulgogi fries, aka KBBQ poutines. That's where the cheese, and french fries come into play. The beef on its own is a treat, and somewhat of a beef candy, so even if you just make that, it’ll be worth it.
