There are few things more “New York” than a bagel with lox. The individual components of this New York staple originate from Sweden and Poland but the combination was created by Jewish New Yorkers as a kosher alternative to Eggs Benedict. Today, it is deeply ingrained in Jewish American culture. It’s often eaten as a break fast meal after Yom Kippur and generally eaten during the high holidays and for large family gatherings. Everyone has their favorite bagel, this is mine. I love you ♥️
