A classic alcoholic beverage in Haitian cuisine, it is a creamy, nutty, and sweet drink with the warmth of Caribbean rum. Infused with nutmeg, cinnamon, lime zest and almond extract. I highly recommend using fresh coconut rather than canned coconut milk because the flavors are different. Depending on where you live, you will find whole coconut at most ethnic stores including Asian markets.
