One of my favorite things to make this time of year - especially for Thanksgiving. Potatoes, butter, herbs, and cream come together into something simple but unreal. What I love about it is how easy it actually is - it just takes a bit of patience. You only need a few ingredients, and it works as both an appetizer or side, since it pairs with almost anything.

Ingredients

3 medium yellow potatoes
3 garlic cloves, crushed (skins on), plus 1/2 clove, cut in half lengthwise
2 sprigs fresh thyme
