Le Roustintin
Plus jeune, j’ai vu des Dockers entrer quelquefois à la taverne, lors de la pause entre deux bateaux. L’Hiver, les conditions de travail très dures les incitaient à chercher un peu de chaleur, de bien-être avant de repartir au travail. Dans le but de se sentir un peu de chaleur au corps, ils avaient l’habitude de boire un Roustintin. Mais de quoi s’agissait-il ? -« Simplement » d’une tasse de Chocolat chaud, arrosée de Kirsch ». Mais… pas n’importe comment. Connue dans tout le Nord / Pas-de-Calais au XIX° siècle, cette boisson dévolue aux travailleurs de force, surtout durant l’Hiver, a bien failli disparaître. Aujourd’hui, elle n’est guère connue -peu et mal, que dans le bassin boulonnais principalement.
