masoor-daal
When I got married, I realised that daal is a staple with every meal in the Ahmad household. This one is probably the easiest one to make, but so darn delicious, especially when fresh. You can eat this with rice, naan, roti...even all over your salad! Our kids especially love "daal on toast". For this breakfast treat, we recommend you use Sourdough or Multigrain Bavarian, toast it well, spread some butter... then pour on piping hot daal. My mouth is watering as I write this!
Ingredients
1.5 cups Masoor (red) lentils
4 cups boiling water
0.625 tsp turmeric
