I encountered Aussie Bites years ago while shopping in Costco. They are quite tasty, with nuts, seeds, fruits, and berries, but needed an over haul of some of the recipe ingredients. The cleaned up recipe contains no processed sugar and is rich in omega -3s, fiber, and protein. Buckwheat cereal has a lower glycemic index than oats and is easier to digest; it also provides more fiber and is rich in potassium, zinc, magnesium, and B vitamins. The final product can be a snack, a yogurt topping, or complement a breakfast bowl of fruit.
