If you grew up in a Caribbean household, like myself, we both know our breakfasts is our comfort food. My parents grew up in Jamaica (born and raised until she decide to move to New York when she was 18), thus we ate this frequently. In Jamaica, we would usually eat this with either hard dough bread or water crackers and English black tea with condensed milk. However, this delicious meal has a lot of sugar, but it is good for a fiber source breakfast.

0.125 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
