
Sopa de Tamal
This soup reminds me of the tortilla soup in terms of the consistency of the broth; the flavor is similar, but the pork lard in the masa gives it an extra flavor. I will say that I could easily call this, Mexican chicken and dumplings soup. You can also use Chicken breast, but the bone in chicken makes a better broth. Think of any tamal flavor for this soup, beef or pork, and even with green chili sauce.
