strawberry-sando
This sweet little sandwich has been around in Japan since at least the 1980s, starting out in convenience stores as part of the fruit sando trend — soft milk bread packed with whipped cream and whatever fresh fruit was in season. Strawberries quickly became the star. Over time, cafés and bakeries gave it a glow-up, turning it into the picture-perfect treat you see all over Instagram now. It’s still super simple: bread, cream, fruit — but somehow feels a little extra, perfect for a nice afternoon tea!
