Turmeric Bug
A turmeric bug works the same as a ginger bug. Also rich in wild yeast and beneficial bacteria, it serves as a natural carbonation source but with a more earthy, pungent and slightly peppery aftertaste. Since turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, it’s perfect for creating immune boosting fizzy drinks. It may take slightly longer to get as bubbly as a ginger bug but works just as well!
