Viet Cajun Shrimp Stir Fry
On the surface, this sounds like an odd combination. But both Vietnamese and Cajun cooking has its roots in French culinary traditions so it's not surprising that Vietnamese immigrants in the southern region of the U.S. have created a culinary mash up, mixing traditional Cajun spices and Vietnamese pantry staples in a dish that's full of flavor. Serve this on a mound of steamed rice or with a crunchy baguette that serves as a vessel to sop up the buttery and spicy sauce.
