black-shokupan-bread

black-shokupan-bread

These are soft shokupan-style burger buns made with cuttlefish ink for their striking black colour. They’re incredibly fluffy and tender, and make a great alternative to classic burger buns. Despite the ink, they don’t taste fishy at all and have a very mild, neutral flavour, much like traditional shokupan bread. A glaze is recommended for a better finish, but not essential.
