Charred Shishito Caesar Wrap
My favorite wrap has to be a chicken Caesar. A soft, chewy tortilla, juicy chicken, crisp lettuce, and crunchy croutons all coated in a creamy, flavor-packed dressing — it just works. But here, the classic gets an upgrade: charred shishitos blended into the dressing for smokiness and heat, Cajun-marinated chicken, and lemon-garlic croutons. The result is the perfect balance of crunch, creaminess, and spice in every bite. Best Practices Get the char right: Don’t be afraid to take the shishitos dark — the smokiness is what makes this Caesar unique. Chop everything evenly: Small, uniform pieces of chicken, lettuce, and croutons make sure each bite is balanced. Build strong croutons: Let the sourdough get golden before tossing in garlic. Adding the garlic too early risks burning. Wrap while warm: A quick toast of the tortilla keeps it pliable and helps it seal tightly around the filling.
