saganaki
It’s day 14 of Eat Like A Greek, and it simply wouldn’t be a Greek food series without this legendary shallow-fried cheese known as saganaki served as an appetiser in Greece. Typically, graviera / kasseri / kefalotyri are used to make saganaki, but since those cheese are really hard to find in the UK, you can substitute them easily with either Monterey Jack cheese or provolone (both of which are mild and hard cheeses)
Ingredients
1 block of Monterey Jack cheese or provolone
50 g plain flour
A bit of water to wet the cheese
