Naan Bread
Naan bread is easy and tasty and is a fantastic recipe to make together with your children. Given the double resting time for your dough , your children will understand that waiting for something is actually not so bad, and that being patient is worth it 🤩. Here in the Netherlands, children are usually always given a lunch box with sandwich bread at school, this naan is the perfect alternative to add a little spice to the routine ❤️ With this recipe I would like also to introduce families and children to different cultures. Research suggests adults who engage children in culturally responsive educational experiences help to: Build young children’s self-confidence and skills. Increase children’s awareness, appreciation, and inclusion of diverse beliefs and cultures. Doing it through different flavours and food it´s even funnier and engaging. Making bread from scratch is one of those simple life pleasures. It provides a great sense of satisfaction. The great benefit of baking bread with the littles one is the time you spend together. It’s the time that you put into a project that creates something new. It not only builds an understanding of process, but it builds connections and memories. Baking bread gives also to children a sensory experience, math experience, language experience, and a sense of experimenting too. As if the changing properties from dry to wet, from dough to bread wasn’t enough, there is also the bread shaping and the cooking. These are important tasks that would help children to be more responsible and it will make them experimenting more consciously . Home-baked bread can also offer more nutrients and fewer additives than commercially manufactured breads. So it´s a perfect fit for children. ….So put on your favorite tunes and roll up your sleeves, here is Naan bread recipe for all of you!
