Homemade Matcha Milk Jam

by chefmarinie 5 ingredients 4 steps

Contrary to its appearance, this is not guacamole; it is, in fact, HOMEMADE MATCHA MILK JAM. For episode 8 of Just Jamming, I decided to push the boat out a lil bit and experiment with non-fruit based jams… still unexpected so it does meets the criteria of this series. I came across this idea a few weeks ago when researching jams and knew I had to try it. It’s SILKY, CREAMY and DELICATELY SWEET a perfect spread on toast or crackers. Only thing I would call out is that it doesn’t last nearly as long as my other jams, which last approx. 3-4 months: the shelf life of this is one week, and it needs to be kept refrigerated.

Ingredients

2 tsp matcha powder
280 ml hot water
250 ml cream (I used Arla’s lactose free version)
