This is kind of a paste which is used to wrap around the beef in the dish Beef Wellington. I have made a vegetarian version of beef. This adds a deep umami flavour to the dish. This can also be used as a filling for other dishes as well. It has a unique umami rich flavour. Although, I really prefer the texture of mushrooms if there was a way to preserve that I would highly recommend it.
