nanu's-kicheri
This is the kicheri that I grew up with - and absolutely loved. Nanu used to make it on weekends I think...this was my comfort food. It tastes especially good with chicken curries and also with tomato bhurta. To see Abbu's comfort food, check out Dadi-jaan's kicheri. Funny thing is that it's also made from moong daal, except it has the shell on. Ingredients and method are different as well. We are spoiled for choice!

0.75 cup moong daal
4 cups rice
3 cardamoms
