Sago't Gulaman
This drink can be simplified further by using any of the ingredients: tapioca pearls or gelatin. It will then be named after the component used. In the Philippines, this drink is sold almost everywhere. Fill large plastic or glass bowls to cook with generous amounts of ice. It is popularly called "Palamig" - which translates as a refreshment - and this is one way to beat the heat. I enjoy this while eating fish balls. The sweetness of this drink offsets the flavor of the fish ball sauce. Try this Sago at Gulaman Recipe and let me know what you think.
