Chicken Pulao
Ahhhh, Mamma's chicken palow....so good and so easy! It's so flavourful, great for diverse crowds since it doesn't have any heat, can be eaten alone or with just about anything. And it's a great picnic food...if you're in to those kind of picnics. Which, why wouldn't you be? I mean, steaming hot pulao beats sandwiches ANY day of the week. Especially on a hot summer's day in the park or by the lake, when all the sandwich eaters oggle over your meal! Disclaimer: you need a South African Magic Bag if you want to do the picnic thing. Please note that even if serving 'alone', you should at least include cucumber raita. They're kind of a thing. I've also recently discovered that Tomato Chutney and Kashimiri began taste amazing with this - even better than the raita!
