shaljam-(turnips)
Shaljam is a close cousin of mouli (also on this site). They’re cooked in the exact same way, with the same masala and method. The only difference is the flavour: mouli has a slightly sharper, more peppery taste, while shaljam is milder and a bit sweeter. Another great way to get your veggies in!
