Growing up, many of our weekday meals were a one-dish meal consisting of meat (lamb, goat, veal) and a vegetable. It was an easy way for my mum to give us a nutritious, wholesome and DELICIOUS dinner. All were based on this base mix - once cooked, you just throw in the veggie of your choice. These include: cabbage, green beans, cauliflower, spinach, and okra. We've now expanded that to beets, zucchini, kaddu, mooli and shaljam. You can eat this with naan and daal, or rice and daal or khatta salan. The taste varies greatly based on the veggie you use so every meal is different. This is one recipe for many dishes!
