Slow Cooked Chicken with Le Gruyere Aop Mushroom Pie and Potato Puree
This is a delightful slow-cooked chicken dish, accompanied by a rich Le Gruyère AOP mixed mushroom pie, creamy Le Gruyère AOP potato purée, zucchini, parsley spinach purée, and a simple roasted chicken jus. A hearty and comforting meal, when executed well, it's sure to impress your lucky guests with its delicious flavours. Note: Including Le Gruyère AOP cheese in this recipe is a tribute to my visit to an Alpage in Switzerland, where this renowned Swiss cheese is traditionally made. The AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée) designation ensures that the cheese meets strict quality standards and is produced in its traditional region, maintaining its unique flavour profile. The rich, nutty taste of Le Gruyère AOP adds depth to the dish and brings a taste of Swiss heritage, making this recipe even more special. See notes below! Difficulty - Challenging
