I mean who doesn’t love a homemade bagel?! Seriously. These have the added health benefit of utilizing sourdough discard, but without all the wait time. For this first round of sourdough bagels I really wanted to find a recipe that could be made same day (so no overnight ferment) and that didn’t have barley malt or diastatic malt. Because honestly who has that laying around in their pantry? Not me. (However I may try to sub barley malt for blackstrap molasses next time because I already have an love that) I sourced this recipe from Thyme from The Table and it reads as follows:

Ingredients

2 cups warm water
0.5 cup sourdough discard
3.5 teaspoons Instant Yeast
