During The Great Deporession of 1929-1930, The American south was hit the hardest. Salmon was canned in Alaska and sold for just 5 cents per can. I can made 6 patties It saved alot of lives. This recipe has some changes to the original which was simply , 1 can 1 egg, salt , pepper and bread crumbs or flour fried in oil using a shallow frying pan or skillet.
