I still remember the first time I had this particular firni. We had recently moved to Canada, and Mami-Jaan brought this to us from her Phuppo's house. I had eaten this dessert many times before, but there was something about this one that I absolutely adored. Abbu loved it just as much. So we got the recipe, which is what you see here. The end result is divine, but still never quite as good as the original. As Nanu likes to say in Urdu: "everyone's got their own hand". That sounds quite funny translated but I promise it makes more sense in Urdu!

Ingredients

1 cup ground rice (cream of rice or rice sooji)
