Double Layered Chocolate Baklawa
Baklawa is a delicious flakey, crispy, buttery, nutty and oh so sweet Middle Eastern dessert that I'm sure you will love if you haven’t tried it yet! It's like a small party in your mouth. The authentic baklawa calls for crushed pistachios or walnuts stuffed between buttered layers of phyllo dough, but here I wanted to take it up a notch and stuff it instead with Nutella (or melted chocolate) and crushed hazelnuts using high quality butter. Let me tell you, it turned out to be one of the best baklawa’s I’ve ever tried and made.
