Bun Kebab
I grew up eating shami kebabs in burger buns, but never really knew that it was a 'thing". I thought Nanu just called it "bun kebab" because it was...convenient...and correct. Little did I know, "bun kebab" is a beloved street food speciality in Karachi—loaded with flavourful fixings and often vegetarian! While I’ve yet to try the authentic version (and can only imagine how amazing it is), this recipe borrows a few of those classic toppings to elevate the humble shami-and-bun combo. Feel free to make it your own—think of this as a starting point for some serious bun kebab magic. :)
