A Very Hammy Pea Soup
I love soup, my husband loves meat. So I bring you a Very Hammy Pea Soup. I ditch the classic constructs of a pea soup and opt for an f-ton of ham and boost that green color with some broccoli. Jam slam PACKED with nutrients. We got some heart healthy nutrients in the peas, talking magnesium, potassium, and calcium. Fiber, vitamin K, iron, and moreeeee potass in the broccoli. MAJOR protein points in the max ham content. And plus extraaaaaaa protein and collagen in the homemade bone broth. IT’S BEYOND. And also a great way to use up leftover ham! My Orange Brown Sugar ham is perfect here because it’s already loaded with flavor. It is super salty because of the ham, which I love, so just keep that in mind and DON’T salt your veggies. I know… it feels weird. It comes together FAST (then you simmer for a bit) and is totally weeknight friendly.
