cavolo-nero-chips

cavolo-nero-chips

Today I have the pleasure to share with you these wonderful and crispy cavolo nero chips. Cavolo nero season is almost finished but it is still worth it to share this fun and easy recipe with you. Here in Amsterdam, I find it easily in the Noordermarket on Saturdays mornings. I love making these chips because they are perfect for lunch boxes. Cavolo nero is a useful friend during season shifts. Kale has an abundant amount of vitamin C. Which is known to be one of the largest immune system supporters. A daily dose of vitamin C is a MUST for kids, due to its substantial amount of health benefits. ( it´s more fun if we get vitamin C from more than one fruit, as oranges aren´t?!) It not only boosts your child’s immune system, but it also helps repair red blood cells, strengthens your child’s blood vessels and helps heal cuts and bruises too. Like kale, it is a good source of lutein, vitamins K and B too. It is also a source of fibre and calcium. It’s naturally nutritious. But unfortunately, most kids don’t find it delicious! If you live with fussy eaters, you will understand just how hard it can be to entice them to eat anything green. Luckily, with this recipe most probably your children will fall in love with it!
