disguised-banana-chocolate-hazelnut-cream-cake

This is a wonderful banana chocolate cream cake that is rich, chocolaty, and cakey with a nice biscuit base crunch. It also uses a liqueur base to soak the cake for an extra punch. The banana crisps, in addition to fresh banana pieces, give it a luxurious banana flavour that is both crunchy and creamy. Please note: the cake should be consumed as quickly as possible. If it sits around too long, the fresh banana pieces will likely deteriorate and no longer offer a pleasant taste. This cake requires good execution of simple ingredients to ensure ultimate freshness and texture. Also note, this cake originally had a red cocoa spray finish, a dark chocolate shell, red ribbon, and a red rose touch. In my opinion, this is way too over the top and unnecessary, considering the overall flavour and the extra effort required. If you have questions on this, please ask in the comments, and I’ll be happy to answer. I used an 18cm diameter cake ring with a 6cm height. Difficulty – Medium

Ingredients

100 g butter biscuits
150g dark chocolate (seventy two %) melted
