Khatta salan, a South Indian contribution, refers to any tangy curry, generally used to complement a meal. It's usually poured on top of rice in generous doses, adding a beautiful burst of flavour. However, it is also delicious for breakfast with toast and scrambled egg! This particular khatta salan can have many variations - simply by adding fish, potatoes, or arvee towards the end.
