turkish-inspired-cheesy-scones

These Turkish-style cheese scones, known as "poğaça" in Turkey (They are a bit different from the classic scones, but it was the closest name I could think of globally). In Turkey, poğaça is a common homemade treat, often enjoyed for breakfast or as a snack. And these are one of my favorite savory pastries—light, flaky, and perfect with tea or coffee. But especially with black Turkish tea. This recipe is made with olive oil instead of butter, which gives the scones a more delicate texture. I’m using feta cheese and fresh dill, but you can easily adjust the ingredients to your taste. Not a fan of dill? You can use parsley or just leave it out. There’s no yeast in this recipe, so it’s quick and easy to make whenever you want something homemade and comforting.
