From Arabic 'Hulw', meaning sweet, Halwa (sometimes Halva) is a middle eastern dessert. This version is made with a nut butter, which is traditionally tahini but can be substituted with any other kind of nut butter. This recipe can be scaled as long as the ratio of 3 parts nut butter : 3 parts sugar : 1 part water is followed.
