detroit-pizza

Detroit style pizza is basically focaccia with crispy, cheesy edges. It's fluffy yet oddly light. And it may look heavy, but it's less flour than a traditional New York pizza! With traditional Detroit style, they usually cook the sauce and apply after the bake. But to each their own! For simplicity, I apply it on the front end before the bake. Also, most traditional Detroit pizza places do not par bake. But I do because it makes it completely fool proof. All you need is time! And last, it's baked in a special pan, but it is 100% worth getting.
